    Cesky Krumlov Highlights Tour 
     
    Morning we depart by motor coach to the Czech Republic’s fairy-tale town of Český Krumlov. Cesky Krumlov is truly a precious gem. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and ranked the second most visited place in The Czech Republic. This medieval town is revered for it’s incredibly rich and detailed historical monuments – the megalithic Cesky Krumlov Castle. Followed by enjoy a lunch at a local restaurantl, then free time to explore at your leisure.

    We return to the ship, in Passau, in the late afternoon. The ship will be docked overnight.

    In the morning, we will have a walking tour of Passau's old town. Known as the “City of Three Rivers,” Passau, founded by the Celts more than 2,000 years ago, is one of Bavaria's oldest cities, resting at the confluence of the Inn, Ilz and Danube Rivers.
    In the afternoon, you can explore this charming town that blends Austrian culture at your leisure.

    You can also choose to join an upgraded tour to the Austrian town of Schärding, enjoy a boat ride on the Inn River, or visit Munich.

    Enjoy cruising through the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage area Wachau Valley this afternoon. It is charming towns and castle ruins in Austria’s Wachau Valley, celebrated as perhaps the most scenic stretch of the Danube.
     

    Embarking on a guided tour of the fairy-tale village of Dürnstein. Set amid an important wine-growing region of picturesque villages and fairy-tale castles, the enchanting town of Dürnstein lies in the middle of the Wachau Valley. During dinner, your ship will sail onwards.

    After dinner on the ship, we head out for attend a special performance by the Vienna Residence Orchestra in a historic venue and enjoy the beautiful strains of Strauss waltzes and selections from Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”. After the concert, take a scenic drive after dark through an illuminated Vienna. The ship will set sail again late in the night.

    Panoramic Budapest Tour

    Hungary’s enchanting capital straddles the banks of the Danube, with traditional hillside Buda on one side and modern Pest on the other. Enjoy a panoramic tour by motor coach and foot, exploring modern Pest. Along the elegant Andrássy Avenue, the “Champs-Élysées” of Budapest, admire the Hungarian State Opera House, then pass through Heroes’ Square, a wide-open plaza of monuments and statues commemorating the Magyar state.

    Across the river, explore the more traditional Buda side of the city. Here you will visit the Castle District with its massive hilltop castle complex, the turreted Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church, named for the country’s most popular medieval king. From the heights of Buda Hill, enjoy fantastic views of the famous Chain Bridge, the first span to ever connect the two halves of the city when it opened in 1849.
